The community and its children in Fairfield, CT are at the heart of who we are and what we do. Our Open Arms Accessibility Initiative helps children and families enjoy the museum and its educational programs regardless of any financial, language or special needs barriers.
Accessibility Days offer free admission to families
of children with special needs every second Saturday of the month
from 9:00 to 11:00 am. Many local organizations and agencies are
Community Admission Pass Program member organizations.
Through sponsor generosity, Stepping Stones offers free admission evenings on the first Thursday of each month during our Get Into It! FREE Evenings. Our Parent Zone series offers adults free discussions and presentations on relevant parenting issues designed to support parents as guides of children’s lifelong learning.
Our school year hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, between Labor Day and Memorial Day. Mondays are closed to the general public, except for select holiday Mondays. School Groups are encouraged to book a field trip on a Monday. Members can come in early on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
